Assistant Manager/Sales Associate
Sunoco/Corner Mart stores is seeking Assistant Store Managers and Sales Associates to join our team!

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the convenience store manager with the store's operations. Tasks include assisting the store manager with:

• Recruiting and training quality employees
• Motivating employees
• Providing excellent customer service
• Inventory management
• Product ordering
• Cash management
• Payroll
• Addressing customer complaints
• Ensuring product stock levels with cycle counts
• Analyzing audits
• Stocking merchandise
• Ensuring that company processes and procedures are followed

Job requirements include:

• excellent customer and interpersonal communication skills
• ability to multi-task
• experience in a fast-paced convenience store or other retail environment
• availability to work all shifts based on need
• ability to use and learn the store back-office system

Overview of Cashier/Sales Associate position.
The person who greets and helps customers in our store is the most important person in the organization. You are the face of our company. We rely on you to provide outstanding service; maintain a clean, customer-friendly environment; stock and merchandise products; and, naturally, operate the point of sale system. There is plenty of opportunity to grow in this position.

What might you do as a Cashier/Sales Associate?

• Provide prompt, efficient and courteous customer service
• Drive sales through effective communication with customers
• Maintain a clean, customer friendly environment in your franchisee’s store
• Ring sales and maintain cash control
• Perform all regular cleaning activities, and other tasks included in your job assignments
• Forecast, order and stock merchandise (with appropriate training)
• While physical requirements for store employees may change depending on your franchisee, the position typically requires constant standing, bending, reaching, frequent lifting of 1-5 lbs, and occasional lifting of up to 40 -50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
