Job Summary: The Retail and Sales Order Specialist position is responsible for supporting department and retail operations and managing the end-to-end process of Sales Orders. This position plays an active role in partnering with Daily Deals and will assist the sales, ordering, and repack team in multiple areas including customer service, reporting, and ordering. This position is responsible for backup administrative support to Natural Choice Foods corporate office by performing a variety of general office and clerical support duties. Advice and leadership are available from supervisor or their designee for complex issues or those requiring authorization.
A Sample of the role:
- Provide internal and external customer service and receive and address routine inquiries and complaints as appropriate.
- Provide support to sales team and store operations including setting up new customer accounts, and timely completion of order entry, product research, inventory verification.
- Enter, process, draft, and manage customer orders. Quickly and accurately secure product for customers ensuring accurate order entry, pricing, and inventory levels that are in compliance with company policies.
- Collaborates with sales and order teams to ensure processes and services are continuously monitored for quality, cost, effectiveness, and efficiency. Recommends and documents processes improvements and standards operating procedures.
- Enter and compile data; prepare and maintain reports. Complete special projects as directed.
- Review orders, data, and reports to identify errors and make or recommend corrections. Ensure accurate processing and invoicing of accounts payable.
- Communicate effectively with various departments, customers, suppliers, and team members to ensure a seamless workflow.
- Build relationships with customers to learn about their businesses, and relaying usable business intelligence to inform Sales and Purchasing strategies.
- Will be expected to maintain a book of business and be responsible for expand Sales opportunities with existing accounts to maximize revenue growth.
- Performs other duties as required.
Your Natural Ingredients:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years’ experience in customer service, sales, retail, and/or inventory preferred.
- Able to work as a team member and establish effective and cooperative working relationships by using tact, good judgement, and resourcefulness.
- Able to follow established procedures and carry out duties with minimal supervision. Possesses self-supervising attributes and a positive, congenial attitude.
- Able to think strategically, learn about diverse company operations and processes; skilled in problem-solving.
- Able to work effectively within deadlines, under stress, and with changing work priorities.
- Able to set priorities and accomplish duties with general supervision.
- Able to gather and analyze data for the purpose of preparing accurate and timely reports, recommendations, and responses to requests for information.
- Display personal accountability, professionalism, and honesty.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to successfully collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and interact with internal and external contacts. Skill in listening to understand.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of modern office equipment, technology, and software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office). Ability to learn new programs and technology as needed, related to areas of responsibility.
