- Directly manage the Retail Execution Representative in your territory. The Retail Execution Representative is responsible for demos, staff education and incentives, and secondary sales assistance.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- This role is not intended to be performed from behind a computer.
- Have a proven record in embracing the power of regularly visiting retail vs. an overreliance on email, text, and phone calls.
- Be motivated by success, solving problems, achieving goals, embracing SOPs, and building long-term relationships.
- Possess strong negotiation, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Present weekly sales updates to sales leadership.
- Utilize and take action upon CRM, an easily digestible and actionable data center for the sales team.
- Develop a strong understanding of AR SOPs, identifying red flags for action with retailers.
- Grow existing retailers in both revenue and distribution by understanding how their needs fit into HYROAD’s brand partner offerings.
- Build and maintain close personal relationships with retail partners.
- Train, manage, coach, and develop Retail Execution Representative.
- Embrace cadenced 1:1s with Regional Sales Director to review KPIs, gaps to goals, and facilitate personal development.
- Understand how to foster high levels of service by understanding accounts’ needs and how they can be specifically catered to.
- Present sales presentations to retailers.
- Be adept at rebuttals for pushback from buyers, front desk workers, security, and budtenders. When we get a “no” we don’t just move on to the next brand.
- Embrace retail visit checklist that ensures that every visit is as successful as possible and that follow ups are executed.
- Implement merchandising standards.
- Create and improve upon organizational and brand partner SOPs.
- Operate with a sales-first mentality.
- Possess a deep understanding of the tactical retail strategies of merchandising and pricing.
- Must live in your territory.
- Bachelor’s Degree or experience equivalent
- Cannabis industry experience required
- 3+ years cannabis sales experience
- CRM experience
- 1+ year experience managing teams
- Google Suite: slides, sheets, docs, email required
- Distribution experience a plus
- Alcohol industry experience a plus
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must have finger dexterity, ability to use keyboard
- Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for multiple hours at a time
- Rarely require kneeling, bending, squatting
- Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Reach, stoop, and lift office files, records, or reports typically weighing 20 pounds or less
- Must be available to overnight travel when required
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others
- Must have good vision and be able to operate a computer, calculator, telephone, copier
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to drive for extended periods of time
