Slackwater is a craft beer and Artisan pizza full-service restaurant. We opened our doors in Ogden back in 2011 and now have locations in Sandy, downtown SLC and very soon Herriman. We are looking for an experienced Service manager who is passionate about creating great experiences for our guests. We are unique in our quest for world-class service in that we like to be chill and relaxed while hitting it out of the park. We carry over 300 craft beer options and want someone who is also dialed into the craft beer game and loves to help folks find their next favorite beer.

Title: Service Manager/Assistant Service Manager
Reports to: General Manager
The Service managers for Slackwater need to be obsessed with hospitality. You must love to serve and to host our guests. You must be educated on craft beer and be able to not only speak about every style and variety of beer but be able to teach it to others. You must create and/or maintain a culture built around love for our guests’ experience, teamwork, and an ambiance the is representative of the Slackwater way. Your standards must be extremely high and not waiver when it comes to cleanliness and organization, our steps of service for all positions and the attitude of the entire FOH staff.
- Caring about every guest that comes through the door or calls us on the phone.
- Ensure that all steps of service for each position included below.
- Keep your Dining room and Service alley clean and organized with proper labelling.
- Follow all opening and closing duties in accordance with our guidelines.
- Manage Liquor Cost through a weekly inventory system that creates drivable action plans to maintain a variance of 1% or less.
- Create and/or maintain a high standard for training procedures, menu, and beer knowledge.
- Complete and manage all ordering of beer/wine and supply items.
- Ensure that the FOH has the supplies required to perform service.
- Maintain a schedule that covers the needs to execute an efficient Restaurant where tables are greeted within 2 min and service is quick and efficient.
- Maintain a FOH labor of 4% annually.
- Work with GM to manage Restaurant supplies on the P&L
- Proper execution of all liquor laws and ID check processes
- Maintain all checklists, taste and temp and any other food safety measures.
- Ensure that handwashing is occurring regularly and when necessary.
- Make sure that all equipment and handwashing stations are always maintained and clean.
- Manage trash and recycling procedures.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and train and develop all FOH employees both in Steps of service, culture, and hospitality.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays no question.
