Where you will make an impact

  • The Pre-Sales candidate will be a key player engaging with Ellucian APAC Sales Organization, to drive expansion of accounts as well as new opportunities in the APAC region.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders to understand Sales pipeline, plan and manage the opportunity lifecycle for the Professional Services organization.
  • Drive complex sales cycles orchestrating internal resources of pre-sales, proposals, contracts, consultants, account executives/managers, marketing.
  • Actively understand customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans, technology strategy and competitive landscape. Review publicly available information for the Hi-Ed institution and its competitors to remain updated on key industry trends and issues impacting the prospect.
  • Facilitate services scoping discussions with customers, develop and deliver a comprehensive services proposal consisting of SoW, Effort Estimates, Pricing options aligned with customer and prospects needs and priorities.
  • Manage responses to queries related to proposals, iterations to refine the proposals and contracting cycle.
  • Manage sales to services hand-off, account resource allocation and provide ongoing clarifications to the Project Manager and Consultants.
  • Develop and institutionalize artifacts and/or templates to improve pre-sales support provided by Professional Services organization.
  • Conduct business process review and analysis of client business requirements. Gather and document business requirements, engage with clients, advising on the adoption of industry-wide practice, and brief the implementation team on requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills to support and influence senior client stakeholders.

What you will bring

  • Results-driven Pre-Sales Consultant with experience in Sales support services, developing techno-commercial services proposals.
  • Experience in pre-sales cycle from opportunity tracking, managing RFP responses, proposal development, through the successful closing the opportunity.
  • Experience in n-tier architecture and familiarity with Web based ERP applications.
  • Knowledge of software/technology solutions used by Higher Education institutions.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and business development practices.
