Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory therapy assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
- Administer respiratory treatments and medications as prescribed
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy and adjust treatments as necessary
- Provide airway management, including intubation and extubation
- Operate and maintain ventilators and other respiratory equipment
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress accurately
Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or acute care setting
- Proficient in performing respiratory therapy procedures, such as oxygen administration, chest physiotherapy, and nebulizer treatments
- Strong knowledge of respiratory physiology, anatomy, and pathophysiology
- Ability to interpret and analyze vital signs, blood gas results, and other diagnostic data
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to respiratory care
- Experience with medication administration via inhalation devices
- Prior experience working in an ICU or critical care unit is preferred
