1. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the direction of the Director Of Respiratory Care, The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered per provider, providing trach care, monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, patient assessment and educating both residents and family members.
2. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Essential: standing, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting body, finger dexterity, reaching above, at and below shoulder level; repetitive arm/hand motions.
- Occasional: sitting.
- Operates ventilators, treatment equipment, computer
3. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Subjected to noise/vibration from ventilator alarms.
- Exposure to body fluids, communicable diseases, and nebulized medications.
- Exposure to floor spills.
4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- Current Hawaii State license as a Respiratory Therapist, or in process of license endorsement from another state.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), or working CRT with state license from Hawaii that is RRT eligible.
- Current CPR certification at the Health Care Professional (BLS) level.
B. EXPERIENCE:
- All experience levels considered, including new RT program graduates that have passed their boards for RRT and have state license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour
