Job Summary
The Resource Manager will be responsible for managing the resourcing for all potential and won professional services work. This position serves as a liaison between Sales, Operations (we call them Practice Managers), and other areas of Core BTS as it relates to resourcing for client work. The Resource Manager will also coordinate with the Recruiting team to facilitate appropriate staffing plans across practices as well as utilize sub-contracted resources as needed.
Interfacing directly with clients on a regular basis regarding onboarding, client expectations and associate performance is key in this role. The Resource Manager maintains open communication with Core BTS associates to ensure client feedback is provided and to ensure the associate has the needed resources and support to succeed. In addition, the Resource Manager will help the Core BTS associates maintain a connection with Core BTS.
Essential Duties

- Serves as point of contact for all professional services coordination
- Assists in developing a resourcing system to track the associates’ skills, capacity/active engagements, working location/region, etc.
- Manages the resourcing system to ensure accurate forecast and supply predictions
- Maintains constant knowledge of current and upcoming work and business development activities as related to sourcing
- Monitors utilization and develops plans to maintain acceptable levels
- Identify instances of under-utilization and actively work with sales, delivery and operations to address the instances
- Monitor and identify gaps in capacity and skills necessary to fulfill sold or forecasted work; work with Innovation Director to identify and help satisfy training needs, work with Recruiting to identify resources
- Works with associates to create and ensure professional profiles are kept current
- Captures data about onboarding/off boarding needs/expectations for clients to help ensure smooth transition with the client and associate(s) for professional services engagements
- Utilizes completed resource request forms to identify possible consultants to meet the needs of the client
- Assists the associate in preparing for interviews as well as provides the associate background information on the client and on the engagement
- Ensures sold client engagements are staffed with appropriately skilled resources
- Ensures accurate and timely communication on all professional services resource decisions
- Assists the associate through the onboarding process
- Establishes regular touch points with professional service consultants, ensures connection to Core BTS, open communication, and support as needed
- Establishes regular touch points and open communication with clients regarding onboarding, expectations, and associate performance
- Manages and resolves resourcing conflicts in a timely manner
- Documents and maintains client onboarding and off boarding expectations/requirements to help ensure smooth transition for associate and the client with all engagements
- Collects feedback from the client and associate during the off-boarding process to continually enhance the experience and expectations
- Assists with the creation and monitoring of metrics, to ensure client and associate satisfaction and engagement
- Makes recommendations for process improvements
Required Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience of resource management or project management experience in a professional services industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Active listening skills as well as strong focus and comfort on engaging with associates (people person)
- Ability to relay and provide positive and improvement-orientated feedback as needed
- Ability to negotiate effectively (win/win) and build collaborative agreements
- Ability to clearly communicate information all levels of the organization, as well as have direct, collaborative discussions
- Strong organization skills. Ability to balance multiple projects and daily tasks
- Ability to work independently when needed and collaborate with teammates
- Demonstrates a strong initiative to identify and resolve issues as well as the ability to suggest
- Ability to implement process improvements
- Ability to plan for the future, but also be detail orientated and in tune with the day-to-day operations of the business
- Strong understanding of performance metrics (leading and lagging)
- Strong understanding of quality management
- Cross functional team experience
- Demonstrated maturity dealing with confidentiality (customer information, compensation, etc.)
- Lean experience a plus
- Flexibility. Job may require up to 50% of time away from the primary Core BTS office. Travel would be to other Core BTS offices or to client locations

The base salary for this position is typically $75,000 to $90,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each candidate, including experience and location.
