Epiphany Farms Hospitality Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our restaurant operation as a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth financial and administrative functioning of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities Highlights:
1. Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Record and reconcile daily sales transactions, expenses, and deposits.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and vendor payments.
- Monitor and manage petty cash transactions.
2. Bank Reconciliation:
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
3. Payroll Administration:
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Maintain employee records related to payroll, benefits, and taxes.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from staff.
4. Budgeting and Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual/periodical budgets and financial forecasts.
- Generate financial reports for management review, providing insights and recommendations.
5. Administrative Support:
- Answer and direct phone calls, manage emails, and handle correspondence.
- Assist in scheduling appointments and managing the calendar for management.
- Provide other administrative assistance to the CEO and other executives as needed.
- Maintain an organized filing system for financial and administrative documents.
6. Vendor Management:
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors regarding invoices and payment terms.
- Track and manage accounts payable to ensure timely payments.
7. Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and guests.
- Address inquiries and resolve issues related to billing or financial matters.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial/administrative role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
