Current Federal employees in permanent competitive service positions (status candidates) in all U.S. Attorneys' offices and the Executive Office for the U.S.
Attorneys, plus well-qualified surplus and displaced DOJ employees (CTAP) in the local commuting area. Internal Employees Only.
Duties
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing a variety of administrative functions as the Resource Management Officer in the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Utah. Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Supervising staff by planning the work to be accomplished, setting goals and priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work.
  • Assisting the Administrative Officer by analyzing and administering the spectrum of resource and administrative support service requirements.
  • Developing analytical methods and alternative procedures to improve the effectiveness and utilization of resources at the District.
  • Reviewing and overseeing budget formulation and execution throughout the fiscal year.
  • Providing oversight in the development of budget requests.
  • Overseeing the collection and maintenance of obligation control data for all administrative and litigation expenses for the office, and the preparation of budgetary reports.
  • Overseeing the administration of support services for the District in the areas of procurement, supply management, contracts, property management, records storage and disposal, and/or other miscellaneous support services.

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation

  • If selected, you will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a one year supervisory or managerial probationary period unless this requirement has been met previously.

Qualifications
GS-13: To be eligible at the GS-13 level, you must have at least ONE year of Specialized Experience at the GS-12 level in Federal Service.
Specialized experience is defined as planning, analyzing, managing and evaluating administrative services for the office and assisting with budget execution.
Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)-The CTAP provides eligible surplus and displaced competitive service employees in the Department of Justice with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
