You will accomplish this by following given site inspection templates utilizing your past relevant experience, and being part of a team that emphasizes continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide corporate reporting accountability for operating brand standards at the resort level in critical operational areas via on-site inspections of units, grounds, services, facilities and green sustainability.
- Utilize existing resources to evaluate the effectiveness of operational brand standards at every resort Wyndham manages. This will be accomplished primarily by on-site inspections with accompanying ratings summaries of the inspected property. Written quantitative and narrative reports shall be turned in to the Senior Director of Quality Assurance, Quality Assurance Manager, Regional Vice Presidents, General Managers and other critical personnel.
- Every branded resort shall be inspected once annually and scored based upon the company’s inspection criteria developed by the Quality Assurance department. This individual shall also make suggestions for improvements in standards or procedures based on that individual’s past relevant experience and field observations.
- The Quality Assurance Analyst shall provide feedback on elements needed for site improvement and work with the Quality Assurance Manager to provide a blueprint utilizing existing standards for future resort performance.
- This individual shall serve as an objective reference point in evaluating site adherence to operational brand standards at new or expanding resorts.
- The Quality Assurance Analyst will also participate in regular regional meetings or Quality Assurance department meetings as needed.
- The Quality Assurance Analyst will be given specific project tasks along with their regular inspection duties. These tasks shall have specific deadlines and specific accomplishment goals.
- Due to the requirement for on-site resort inspections, this position will be required to travel and be out of the office up to 70% of the time. The Quality Assurance Manager shall provide the QA Analyst a regular inspection schedule based on the needs of Wyndham Destinations and the availability of the units at resort locations.
- This position will often require the Quality Assurance Analyst to travel on weekends when occupancy at the resorts is at its peak for best evaluating operational practices.
There is a travel requirement of 75% for this role.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- The successful candidate should have at least 3-5 years experience in hands-on hospitality experience preferably in the areas of guest services, housekeeping or maintenance/engineering at a branded hotel or vacation ownership property or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a “quality assurance” brand inspector or equivalent in a corporate hospitality environment.
- The successful candidate would also preferably have a minimum of 2 years supervisory or managerial experience at a branded hotel or vacation ownership property.
Technical Skills:
- A candidate possessing knowledge of the functional operational areas of hospitality management or specific prior corporate “brand quality assurance” experience will be required.
- Specific knowledge of hospitality guest services, engineering systems or housekeeping management in a hospitality environment will be considered a plus.
- Related technical certificates or licenses will be considered as part of the overall package. This may include ASHRAE or Certified Executive Housekeeper designations.
- Ability to write clear, detailed and understandable detailed reports to field staff and managers is a primary skill of the applicant.
- Microsoft Office including Excel Spreadsheets, Microsoft Word.
- Ability to work with others and communicate to many departments and resorts at all levels of management to achieve team focused goals including written and oral communication.
- Deadline conscious with strong self-starting drive, initiative & ability to work well in time-sensitive situations.
- Ability to effectively organize and compose written site inspection reports.
- Detail oriented with an ability to closely follow written standards and guidelines. This person must also be analytical and creative in fulfilling the roles of this position.
- The successful applicant must also be able to objectively evaluate individual/team performance based on a set of pre-established standards.
- The candidate must have the ability to be out of the office extensively while conducting inspections and writing reports while on the road.
