Mission Statement: The Resistance Welder produces fine CDR welds of wire mesh or photo-etched stainless steel, aided by micro-video technology, according to AS9100 quality processes.
A minimum of two years of prior manufacturing experience is required. Their work is essential in delivering parts of unmatched quality to our customers. As a team member on the filter welding team, you’ll work with experienced CDR welders to learn the quality-centered micro-welding techniques that have made us an industry leader for over 50 years. Through this critical role, you’ll advance your talents through mastering:
- Build efficiency techniques.
- Interpreting drawings and prototypes.
- AS9100 protocols and processes for quality.
- Growing your talent by cross-training on other machines and operations in the plant.
Location: Wayland, MI - Manufacturing Facility
Category: Non-exempt Employee, full time
Shift: First (7:00 am – 3:30 pm)
Qualified candidates will possess the following minimum requirements:
- Due to ITAR requirements, we can only consider American Citizens for this position.
- A minimum of two years of prior manufacturing experience is required.
- Must have at least 20/20 vision – with vision correction aides (i.e. glasses, contacts).
- Must be able to remain seated for extended periods.
- Must be able to operate welder using a pedal while seated (like operating a sewing machine).
- Attention to detail is a must, along with the ability to ignore distractions while working.
Essential Responsibilities:
- The Welder uses a foot activated resistance welder to create parts.
- Perform designated operation per drawing/work order requirements.
- Perform quality checks on parts after completed.
- Set up and tear down shop resources as need.
- Maintain a clean work area.
Quality:
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical guide and protectors to measure and validate the quality of your work independently.
- Validate individual parts produced against customer specifications.
Process Improvements:
- Learn Lean Manufacturing techniques to help the department eliminate waste and downtime.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to determine ‘better ways’ to serve our customers.

- Mindfully follow all safety procedures and protocols, including the use of protective gear and material hazards handling to safeguard yourself and your fellow team members.
- Take personal responsibility for safety and set an example of our high safety expectations for new team members.
