Affinity Behavioral Care has a sign on Bonus Program. After the first 30 days, you will then receive $250 and when you have reached your 6 month mark with Affinity Behavioral Care, you will receive an additional $250 at that time!
LINES OF AUTHORITY: This position reports directly to the Residential Program Director.
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is located at one of Affinity Behavioral Care’s residential facilities. Employee is responsible for the direct care of residents including compliance with the house rules, schedules, policies and procedures, assist with implementing treatment plan goals and objectives, participate in planning community activities, participate in the admission / discharge process of residents, conduct community meetings and non-clinical groups, and ensure the staff members carry out their daily duties. Under the supervision of the Residential Program Director, the Residential House Manager is responsible for conducting trainings, providing staff supervision, maintaining the staff schedule and timesheets, ensuring resident’s activities are scheduled and offered and menus are being followed and other duties as assigned.
Non-Exempt & Full-Time
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the intake/admission and discharge processes for all assigned residents.
- Comply with the resident’s activity schedule, scheduled menu, house rules, scheduled daily groups and Affinity Behavioral Care’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure residents are transported to their scheduled program activities / events, outings, medical / dental / psychiatric appointments with completed appointment schedulers, and local agencies as identified on their treatment plan.
- Responsible for ensuring that daily programming is happening for our residents by their support staff and also be willing and able to jump in to cover and help out their staff, when needed.
- Responsible for ensuring all internal documentation is completed consistently, accurately and filed appropriately.
- Responsible for conducting non-clinical trainings, coaching, and mentoring all assigned staff members.
- Responsible for reporting any maintenance issues in the upkeep of their assigned site, in order to stay in compliance, with Affinity Behavioral Care’s policy and procedures, along with ADHS and State licensure rules.
- Responsible for writing initial treatment plans on residents at their intake and ensure these are being updated at least every 6 months.
- Responsible for the monthly supervision of all assigned staff members including, but not limited to, carrying out corrective actions and completing annual employee evaluations.
- Responsible for recording all company-related transactions, turning in all invoices and receipts, and adhering to an assigned budget on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for maintaining the facility’s weekly staff schedule, ensuring it is posted, and filling any open shifts that arise and fill in when necessary to ensure coverage and stay in ratio compliance for their facility.
- Responsible for responding to employee requests and adjusting assigned employee errors within the ADP payroll system (Daily process) and ensure it’s accuracy before submitting to the Employee Relations Manager.
- Responsible for turning in the weekly bed logs and resident report to the Senior Director of Clinical Services and error free.
- Responsible for the overall safety of the residents, the staff, and the facility.
- Responsible for maintaining, coordinating, and ordering all assigned resident’s medications.
- Responsible for completing all initial and ongoing documentation related to medications and MARs.
- Responsible for following and completing the Residential House Manager daily/weekly/monthly checklist and turn into the Residential Program Director weekly.
- Assist with the implementation of assigned resident’s treatment goals and objectives (review progress notes and clinical summaries for accuracy).
- Responsible for ensuring all required resident’s documentation is present, up to date and being implemented in the daily programming.
- Responsible for training and re-training all new and existing Residential Support Providers and/or Certified Residential Personal Caregivers.
- Provide backup shift coverage when necessary and on-call responsibilities as assigned.
- Responsible for giving a 2 week notice prior to requesting vacation time.
- Responsible for calling in sick 8 hours prior to your scheduled time to work.
- Responsible to adhering to all Affinity Behavioral Care’s policies and procedures.
- Ensuring we stay in compliance with all stakeholders, the State and ADHS.
- This position requires to be On Call 24/7 during Monday-Sunday for their assigned site.
- This position requires some traveling to the other homes or places in the community, when needed.
- Even though you are assigned to a home, you may be asked to move to another home based on the needs of the company.
- You are required to clock out and take at least a half hour break during each eight hour shift.

POSITION REQUISITES:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a field related to behavioral health, or
- Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field and at least 3 months of full-time behavioral health experience, or
- Associate’s degree in related field/area and 6 months of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting, or
- High School diploma or high school equivalency diploma and at least four (1) year of fulltime behavioral health work experience.
- One year of experience within a supervisory or management position.
- Ability to write sound clinical documentation that meets State, Stakeholder and company requirements.
- Required to have excellent communication skills.
