Form of workProject REAL (Residential Experience In Adult Living, Inc.) is a Not-For-Profit organization licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health. We have been providing services to adults with mental illness since 1979. Our objective is to offer individuals with psychiatric disabilities the opportunity to enhance the quality of their lives and to become as independent as possible in the community.
LOCATION: NASSAU COUNTY (LONG ISLAND), NEW YORK
Openings for the following shifts:
Massapequa Group Home:
Hours are as follows:
Tuesday & Saturday AWAKE OVERNIGHT
10 p.m. – 8 a.m. (10 Hours) (the following morning)
Sunday – Thursday – 3 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Our Residential Counselors are responsible for the supervision and care of all individuals residing within our program, including insuring client safety, implementing all aspects of the activities scheduled, documentation and implementation of client goals and services, participating in the semi-annual and annual client review process, avocation for client needs and problem solving to overcome obstacles faced by program residents.
Requirements:
A Master's or Bachelor's degree in a human services related field
An Associate's degree in a human services related field & 3 years’ experience in human services
A High School degree & 5 years’ experience in human services, or other professional disciplines which receive the written approval of the Office of Mental Health
Some travel is required. VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE IS A MUST!
