Join our team at our Irvine location, where you'll be leading after-school Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programming for kids in grades K-12. You'll be the driving force behind creating a positive, fun-filled environment where students and families feel valued and appreciated for who they are.
As the leader of a single classroom with up to 12 students, you'll get hands-on experience working with kids and their families. - Create after-school programming designed to increase the academic and social-emotional development of participants.
- Plan and deliver an evidence-based curriculum aligned with the goals of the after-school program.
- Meet and maintain program objectives through maintenance of appropriate program data and reports.
- Participate in professional development.
- Meet regularly with Program Director and project team.
- Work collaboratively with resident staff to address the socio-emotional needs of students.
- High Emotional IQ and service orientation to build authentic relationships with organizational faculty, students, and colleagues.
- Possesses self-motivation, drive, and ability to work independently, especially given the remote nature of the team.
- Great sense of humor, ability to bring joy to the work, passion for people, relationship building, and the power of our mission.
Requirements
- Available on Mondays 3pm - 6pm
- Experience as a Teacher's Assistant or related field desired but not required
- Familiarity with school or after-school programming desired but not required
- Great communication and organizational skills
- Cool-tempered and positive attitude
- Firm but kind personality
- A love for teaching and the ability to build a trusting relationship with students, teachers, and parents
Benefits
