TITLE: Resident Care Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Administrator

METHOD OF PAY: Hourly

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The primary purpose of the Resident Care Coordinator is to create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and all shifts. As Resident Care Coordinator, you have the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and ensure that Resident Care Assistants are following the established procedures for assisting residents with medications.
• Review and evaluate your department's work force and make recommendations to the Administrator.
• Assist in developing work assignments and/or assist in completing and performing such assignments.
• Review and evaluate your department's work force and make recommendations to the Administrator.
• Assist in developing work assignments and/or assist in completing and performing such assignments.
• Assist to establish and update Resident Care plan.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all Resident Care information.
• Monitor Resident Care to ensure that all residents are treated fairly, and with kindness, dignity, and respect.
• Listen to resident and family member concerns and address issues in a reasonable and timely fashion.
• Analyze and make decisions to resolve problems that arise in a timely manner.
• Administer medication to residents as necessary and in accordance with state and federal nursing guidelines.

• Excellent communication skills written in oral

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Active Georgia LPN License Required.
• Must have Assisted Living and/or Long Term Care working experience.
