Job Opportunity: Apple Rehab Laurel Woods is hiring for a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) to accompany residents as a companion for appointments (MD Appointments, etc) outside of our community on a per diem basis. CNA will travel with the resident in the transportation provided, stay with the resident for their appointment, and travel back with the resident to Laurel Woods.
Starting Pay: Competitive rates starting at $18 per hour, based on experience. Additionally, we have Part Time and Full Time positions with a starting rate of $20.00 and up based on experience.
Responsibilities: Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
- No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.
