Research Data Analyst III (multiple positions) (Rockville, MD): Collaborate and act as strategic partner with investigators in the design of research studies and methodologies; provide technical and data leadership to high visibility projects; take a lead role in defining and building analytic variables for research projects; partner with project team and clients in the determination of goals, priorities and decision making; and lead efforts in the researching, recommending and implementation of methods to validate, troubleshoot and interpret results. Take lead role in analyzing and implementing data management, quality control and reporting needs on multiple research studies and determine a range of solutions and options. Serve as a data resource for research project teams and interact directly with clients and investigators. Act as partner in identification of key areas and priorities for focus based on data analysis. Oversee, lead and consult on all phases of SAS/SQL/analytical programming, data management, macros, quality control and reporting of Research Data. Identify and resolve analytic problems using knowledge, background, troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving skills. Partner with team and clients in the determination of goals and priorities. Translate needs, issues and ideas into effective strategies and action plans. Formulate specific implementation plans and evaluate the effectiveness of actions and programs implemented. Test data conversions and data integrity from a wide variety of sources across multiple platforms. Participate in multi-site projects by developing, writing, testing, and running sophisticated code to be distributed by programmers at multiple sites. Present and review study results to clients and professional colleagues. Assist with monitoring studies to ensure compliance with Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures and applicable rules and regulations.
Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Informatics, Public Health, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field. 5 years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing Research Databases using SQL and SAS. 4 years of experience with predictive modeling and statistical analysis. 4 years of experience building relational databases. 4 years of experience using data visualization tools, including Tableau. 4 years of experience in healthcare or health research.
