Our focus areas include cancer, autoimmune diseases, and inflammation. We have successfully progressed one drug to the clinical stage, with five candidates in either pre-IND or early discovery stages.
We are actively seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to bolster our drug discovery efforts. Responsibilities for this role include conducting screens on cell lines and primary cells (both small molecules and mAbs) to identify hits and leads, designing and developing biochemical and cell-based assays, as well as performing experiments to elucidate the mechanism of action of our lead compounds.
Job Description:
· Develop and execute biochemical and cell-based assays with low to medium throughput using a variety of assay technologies
· Assist in the design, development, and execution of cell-based assays (mostly using human cell lines and human primary cells) to support hit identification, lead discovery and selection. This would include but not limited to biochemical assays, cell based functional assays, efficacy readouts, translational research to validate therapeutic concept and biomarker discovery. Must be comfortable to work with human primary cells and cell lines.
· Perform flow cytometry-based experiments including cell type profiling and characterization.
· Collect, analyze, record, summarize data, interpret, and present and/or share results to project teams as required.
· Assist with maintenance of relevant laboratory supplies/equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biological science.
· Basic hands-on laboratory experience in immunology, cell biology techniques including ELISA, cell viability assay, immunoblot, primary cell isolation and culture and reporter assays would be preferred.
· Experience in multi-color flow cytometry is not necessary but, would be preferred.
· Experience in developing assays to assess immune responses in human and murine cell lines and human/murine primary cells is an advantage.
· Proficiency in data analysis using Excel, GraphPad Prism is required.
· Ability to multi-task with a high degree of professionalism

NeologicsBio anticipates that the hourly rate for the Research Associateposition could range between $30.00/hour - $35.00/hour. Pay rates will depend in part on the successful candidate’s credentials including education, qualifications, experience in the relevant field and the salary offered will be market competitive. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
