Research Assistant I

EyeCRO, an ophthalmology contract research company is seeking highly motivated individuals for a full time Research Assistant I position in our Ann Arbor, MI laboratory. This person will be responsible for participating in a wide variety of animal-based activities to support innovative research and development of novel therapeutics to treat various forms of blindness.

Requirements:

· Associate degree in a biology related field

· >1 year experience working in a research laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in a biology related field

· Experience working with laboratory animals

Representative Duties:

· Animal procedures/husbandry/colony management.

· Laboratory upkeep – Maintains a clean and tidy workspace.

· Record keeping – Records all observations, data, information during research.

· Collaboration – Works with fellow researchers.

Skills/Abilities:

· Desire to work in a team setting.

· Careful attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple daily tasks.

· Comfortable working with animals in a laboratory setting.

Job Type: Full-time salaried at $35,000-45,000/year, commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday.
