RESEARCH ANALYST
At UCHC, Department of Child and Family Studies, this class is accountable for independently performing a full range of tasks in research design and implementation.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under the general supervision of an employee of higher grade.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
May lead lower level employees as assigned.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Responsible for developing and implementing formal research projects and assists in these activities on more comprehensive and complex research assignments; analyzes, interprets and prepares data in a variety of ways; prepares narrative and statistical reports; develops computerized databases and analyzes and interprets computer generated reports; functions as project liaison; performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
Knowledge of research methods and techniques; knowledge of statistics; ability to analyze data; ability to understand and use computerized databases; ability to understand agency related policies and procedures as they relate to research; interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
General Experience:
Four (4) years' professional experience in research, data analysis, economics, or nursing in a relevant area.
Substitutions Allowed:
Bachelors Degree in a relevant field may be substituted for the general experience.
Preferred Experience:
Master's Degree in a relevant discipline
Demonstrated experience managing and analyzing multivariable data sets
Demonstrated experience writing data reports
Experience in the field of disabilities
