JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • This individual will work closely with a mission driven team whose goal is to provide analytical support and further develop the department's internal database. This is a full-time position with the following responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Run analytics on large surgery related datasets. This includes incorporating data pertinent to the Institute from multiple sources, especially EMR (EPIC) and billing data (EPSI)
    • Manage data integration and business development opportunities involving various data sources and Engage in team meetings and miscellaneous business needs
    • BI Analyst/Report Developer with SQL, EPIC to support our medical foundation practices and support services with data/reporting needs related to quality, regulatory and medical functions
    • Work with the quality performance specialist/program manager in data validation, reporting, and analysis utilizing Epic reporting capabilities.
    • Manage, prepare, analyze, and interpret data, as well as report on analysis results. Design and Develop operational, clinical, quality performance dashboards and visual analytics for programs or initiatives. Supports research department with data requests.
    • Collaborates with vendor resources and work closely with system vendors, consultants, and technical services of any given affiliate to ensure data/report development, testing and implementation meet specifications andoperationalneeds.
    • Responsible for supporting various activities related to the provider network database, including database development, maintenance, reporting and extracting data, initiating database improvement; and providing business intelligence (BI) solutions to address and analyze data.
    • Include however many lines are needed to adequately describe the job. Additional rows can be inserted, if needed.
    • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Information Management, Mathematics or related field.
  • At-least 2 years of experience

Preferred Education

  • Masters in Computer Science, Health Information Management, Mathematics

Experience

  • 2 years of experience and strong competence in managing, interpreting and analyzing healthcare data
  • 2 years' experience designing and developing executive dashboards, visual analytics and variance insights for key performance improvement initiatives
  • Must be proficient with SQL and report writing
  • Experience in the healthcare industry working with Electronic Health Records and a variety of operational and business systems in the hospital and ambulatory setting. EPIC clarity, EPIC caboodle certification/experience preferred, working with surgery data a plus
  • Excellent/Effective communication skills and knowledge of desktop tools (Tableau, Qlikview, Thoughtspot, Excel)

  • Epic certification
