The Reporting and Application Analyst reportsto the Senior Enterprise Systems Manager and collaborates with various cross-functionalbusiness teams, including Technical Assistance Center, Human Resources,Finance, Enrollment Management, and others. The analyst is responsible forgathering report requirements from multiple databases, including Banner’sOracle database, as well as ancillary Oracle, Microsoft, and SQL databases.Leveraging insights from users, the analyst will review existing data blocksand make modifications or create new ones as necessary to fulfill the requesteddata needs.
This role requires ensuring properimplementation, testing and validation in a fast-paced environment, providingsupport to end users through standard and ad hoc reports and managing usersecurity and access to facilitate configuration management.
Responsibilities
Utilize available tools such as EvisionsArgos and Crystal Reports to provide business reports and data blocks.
Clarify report requirements and reviewexisting data blocks, identifying modifications needed and assessing their impacton existing reports. Create new data blocks when necessary.
Ensure thorough testing and validationinternally and with end users.
Provide documentation and set up security measuresfor reports.
Facilitate end user creation and securitythrough the development of roles and report access.
Create queries or reports to extract requireddata for integration with applications.
Understand workflow using job schedulingapplications.
Develop integration scripts for both Windowsand Linux- based applications.
Monitor help-desk ticketing systems for usercalls related to reporting or integration.
Monitor scheduled runs of reports andintegrations, ensuring successful completion.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Minimum of three years’ experience using reporting tools.
Knowledge of data gathering and report writing tools.
Familiarity with job scheduling and workflow tools.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate with end users, understanding, interpreting and translating end user requirements effectively.
Demonstrate outstanding communication skills to accurately meet reporting requests and deadline needs of users.
Excellent documentation, project management, and organizational skills.
Ability to translate and communicate technical language to ensure end users readily understand.
Able to handle detail-oriented work while meeting schedules and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using reporting tools such as:Crystal Reports and Argos is required.
Experience in job scheduling and workflowtools, such as CRON, Automic and Prefect.
Experience with Evisions Argos, CrystalReports, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Python and PL/SQL.
