Job Description
What you get to do in this role:
- This role is currently seeking candidates in the Eastern Time Zone
- Contributes towards the development and implementation of the editorial strategy working closely with the Senior Editor
- Works to provide daily stories for the publications online news site while working on longer-term investigative stories
- Works closely with industry companies, executives, analyst firms, and others to develop daily content for new site
- Review Content Performance and Audience Needs, Assess value delivered from existing content vs cost/effort to produce. Assess the current and anticipated information and content needs of target audience.
- Produce and develop Editorial Content for Content Agenda, meeting needs of target audience.
- Contributes to (and where appropriate leads) coverage of multiple topics and across formats including daily news products, feature content, data and surveys, and commercial products.
- Works with other editors and analysts within his/her own and other Market Pillars to assess the viability of co-branded or joint content.
- Identify relevant new events and content trends and position new content to take advantage of these.
- Works closely with commercial teams to execute commercial projects/marketing solutions as required
- Works within best practice editorial environment, driving efficiency and effectiveness. Promotes and utilises appropriate tools and approach. Implements initiatives which improve performance of content, including social media and search engine optimisation.
- Reports accurate personal forecasting and performance metrics to key internal and external stakeholders
- Develops internal partnerships, ensuring collaboration is driven with a customer focus.
- Maximizes usage and adherence to Informa systems and processes adopting a best practice and facilitating developments in line with internal and external requirements
Qualifications
- An accomplished journalist who writes in an engaging, clear and direct style
- Knowledge of, and mastery in, the Market Pillar and associated communities.
- Demonstrable experience in interacting with/managing senior stakeholders and has an extensive set of senior industry contacts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to understand your audience and tailor your style accordingly.
- A strong influencer who has prior experience in working in a matrix organisation
- Strong market knowledge and ability to connect established and emerging topics to target audience persona needs
- Ability to set plans and manage delivery across range of content
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Market Pillar and central capabilities
- Ability to source and manage internal and external content creators
- Planning, developing and executing strategic editorial strategy.
- Knowledge of multimedia editorial practices (video and audio).
- Knowledge of best practice editorial processes, including social media and search engine optimization.
- Able to edit, plan and manage delivery across a range of content.
Additional Information
The salary range for this role is 50,000 - 62,400 USD based on experience.
