Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and support to funeral directors during funeral services and visitations
- Assist with the preparation and setup of funeral home facilities for services
- Greet and interact with grieving families, offering compassionate support and guidance
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of caskets and other funeral-related items
- Coordinate and assist with funeral processions and transportation logistics
- Help with administrative tasks such as filing paperwork, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments
- Collaborate with funeral directors and staff to ensure smooth operations during services
- Provide bereavement support to grieving families, offering a listening ear and resources for coping
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a funeral home or related industry
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize and provide comfort to grieving individuals
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, compassion, and discretion
- Proficiency in sales techniques for offering funeral products and services
- Knowledge of event planning principles for coordinating memorial services and receptions
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 29 per week
