RemX Staffing is recruiting for a Contract, Insurance Accountant role - Fully Remote!
MUST have Property & Casualty Insurance experience and Yellow Book Auditing - resumes without these requirements will not be considered.
6 Month Contract Position
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries & reconciliations in accordance with internal company policy to support IFRS and STAT financial statements
- Working with Yellow Book for accounting auditing
- Statutory filing preparation
- Account Reconciliation and review
- Preparing and reviewing workpapers in conjunction with quarterly statutory and IFRS financial close
- Work closely with Reinsurance team to facilitate timely reporting of information needed to support the close and to compile quarterly and annual internal and external reporting
- Prepare NAIC Quarterly and Annual Statements reported to insurance departments
- Support year-end financial statement audit by preparing workpapers and working directly with external auditors
- Assist with ad hoc projects and requests as needed
- Perform analyses on financial information
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or Equivalent relevant work experience in the Insurance industry
- Experience with Property & Casualty Insurance and Yellow Book Auditing Required
- Knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Software - MS Office Applications and SAP
- Familiarity with NAIC quarterly and annual statement content and prep
