Job Description:

Blink’s growing Development and Facilities Operations department is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee compliance with building, fire, health, planning and zoning as well as other regulatory and code enforcement agencies’ regulations, nationally. This person will also serve as a resource for management, facilities. and development staff on requirements for compliance with codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for document organization, including digital files, archive and dissemination of all licenses, certificates, and permits
• Track and follow up on the status of regulatory approvals, permits, licenses, registrations, coordinate required inspections, renewals, and updates
• Closely monitor NYC elevator category and periodic inspections and follow-up as needed on corrections needed to avoid fees
• Work directly with elevator, fire/life-safety, and trades vendors to resolve compliance related issues
• Administration of Standard Operating Procedures for Regulatory Compliance.
• Review and process invoices and payment requests as needed
• Research filings for all business-related licenses for new markets
• Tracking and filing renewals for all club licenses
• Researching violations received at the clubs to either provide evidence to fight the violation or resolve the issue the violation created
• Speaking with various departments (Sanitation, Health, Buildings, etc.) regarding violations that have been received
• Attending hearings regarding violations in NY and NJ that do not require legal representation
• Obtain pre-sale and new club licenses and permits as required by locality
• Work closely with Facilities team to ensure conditions resulting in violations are cured and proof of correction is properly submitted to governing body  
• Work closely with Facilities in tracking inspections and permits for physical plant systems such as elevator, HVAC, and fire alarm
• Ensure that Certificate and Permit binders are in all clubs and documents contained within remain up to date

Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree in design, engineering, construction, legal or other related field
• Ability to read and understand drawings, codes, regulations (building, fire, health, zoning), and basic construction documents
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Google Suite is required
• Familiarity with regulatory agencies and governmental approval protocol is desirable
• Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills are required
• A commitment to working in a team environment as well as independently when needed
• Prior working experience in architectural/engineering, permit expediting, or legal firm is preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive Base Salary - Pay Transparency: $75-90,000.00/yr
