About the Role
Finfare is seeking a highly motivated Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team in Irvine, CA. As a key member of the compliance department, the Regulatory Compliance Officer will be responsible for helping ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Compliance Officer will work clearly with the Director of Compliance and internal partners in an advisory role, and will serve as the primary point of contact with our bank partners.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and test compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, internal policies, and bank requirements.
- Conduct ongoing analysis and reporting of customer complaints, including handling escalated customer complaints.
- Oversee vendor management, including initial due diligence review and monitoring vendor performance to ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Handle issues management, including identifying and resolving compliance issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and maintain change control procedures to ensure that all changes are compliant with all relevant regulations.
- Work closely with internal partners in an advisory role to ensure compliance with all regulations and laws.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with our bank partners, ensuring that all compliance regulations are met and all questions are answered in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 7+ years proven experience in a banking/fintech Compliance role.
- Experience with laws and regulations including but not limited to OFAC, Reg D, Reg DD, Reg CC, Reg E, Reg Z, FCRA, FTC Act, GLBA, CCPA, GDPR, and others.
- Professional certifications such as CIPP or CRCM are highly desired.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively navigate complex and ambiguous scenarios.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to understand complex concepts and provide innovative solutions to challenges.
- Prior fintech experience or a partner bank experience is highly desirable.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $130k - $160k+ (Depending on experience)
