Regulatory Affairs Assistant

What is the job about?   

As Regulatory Affairs Assistant you will work closely with the Product Managers, Regulatory and Technical Affairs, and the US Leadership Team in supporting them with coordination of activities on Localized Purchasing to support the USA Organization. This role will influence and assist stakeholders to build proactive strategies and guide decisions on purchasing requests to adhere with Federal and State regulations. This position reports directly to the US Country President and will operate on a hybrid schedule out of the Brookshire, Texas facility. Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support now or in the future.

Your main responsibilities:   

• Provides support for customer inquiries on Localized Purchasing requests (Buy American Act; American Iron and Steel; Build America, Buy America; Buy America Requirements, etc.)
• Engages with product management on product-specific evaluations against relevant regulations.
• Ensure coordination of activities and different requests
• Responsible for keeping an updated overview of tasks and projects
• Responsible for issuing certification letters, where applicable
• Provide training to company on Localized Purchasing requirements
• Inform and educate company on regulatory changes and potential impacts to company sales
• Interact and coordinate with extended network in Divisions and Group Functions

Your background  

We imagine that you have:    

• A bachelor’s degree in political science or relevant experience/background.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience with US/State regulations
• Ability to read and comprehend federal and state regulations
• Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements in an understandable way to multiple audiences
• Ability to manage multiple complex requests simultaneously
• Ability to document and provide traceability for inquiry actions and responses
• Experience in a product manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with technical documentation (drawings, diagrams, material lists) preferred

Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidate must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.
