JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector inspects parts for conformance to dimensional and drawing requirements at various stages of production, including final.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following is a list of essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
- Verifies that the documentation that accompanies parts is correct with respect to the revision level indicated on the customer purchase order.
- Notifies the Quality Manager of any suspected discrepancies, whether dimensional or visual, discovered in his/her inspection process.
- Designates rework operations to the Plant Manager of the appropriate area in which the discrepancy originated.
- Performs overall visual inspection to ensure the cosmetic appearance of parts, whether required by the drawing or not, is acceptable.
- Completes all required logs and/or forms required by the depth of inspection specified in the contract.
BASIS FOR EVALUATION * Reports to work in a prompt manner with minimal missed time.
- Performs his/her duties in a professional, courteous manner with minimal to no rework.
- Attention to safety.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures related to his/her job.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS * High school certificate, at a minimum. Experience in quality control required.
- Ability to read measurement equipment (calipers, gauges, and tape measures.)
- Must be able to read and interpret customer blue prints, drawings, sketches, and other documents necessary to perform the job.
- Ability to speak and receive direction in the English language.
- Physical ability to perform the various shop related activities, including prolonged periods standing and ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Cheerful, helpful disposition when dealing with fellow employees.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
