The Patient Access Services Department consists of a large team of administrative professionals and offers a variety of roles. In the Patient Access Department, we register patients in the Emergency room, at Henderson Registration, in the Main Lobby, in the Maternity department and various Outpatient departments. We also have a Patient call Center and support Lab/Imaging Services in Natick and Wellesley.
We are looking to grow our team! Under the direction of the Patient Access Leadership, Registration Coordinators perform a variety of patient access services. An amazing opportunity to greet patients as they arrive at the hospital or other service locations. A warm smile combined with exemplary customer service create a welcoming atmosphere for patients.
In addition to welcoming the patient, Registration Coordinators are accountable and responsible for creating and/or updating a medical record after searching the Master Patient Index (MPI). As a member of the team you will, obtain demographic information, insurance policy numbers, and subscriber information from patients, in person, over the telephone, or via the web. As a Patient Access employee you are part of both the revenue cycle and care teams in that you ensure an accurate registration is entered into the system in a timely manner.
Registration Coordinators are accountable and responsible for insurance eligibility verification, completion of all required forms, scanning documents, and co-pay collection.

What we’re looking for:
Strong customer service professional who will be cross trained in areas of registration and is responsible for obtaining demographic information from patients and inputting that information into the computer system. An enthusiastic individual who is willing to register patients as well as obtain patient signatures on a variety of forms including but not limited to Consent to Treatment, Medicare Important Message, Healthcare Proxy, collect copays and more.
