Dal-Tech, a SAFEbuilt Subsidiary, has an immediate opening for a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to join our growing staff. Responsibilities:
- Work directly with our office team while supervising and managing field and office technicians
- Preparing scopes of work and pricing competitive land surveying proposals
- Conduct and perform boundary and topographical surveys, construction layouts, subdivision plats, and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys
- Proficiency with GPS, Robotic Total Station, and Data Collectors
- Post survey field data analysis
- Coordinate surveying department schedule on a weekly basis
- Provide high quality service to clients
- Support Transfer of Ownership and Real Property Rights
- Performs deed research and reviews deed description, verifies title and coordinate/or prepare legal descriptions
- Support the mapping functions of DART’s Central Real Estate Inventory System (CREIS)
- The surveyor will map boundaries of the legal description on the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software that is part of the CREIS
- Reviews plats for accuracy of legal description
- Prepares boundary surveys and field notes as required for the sale, lease, or license of DART owned property

- Aerial Mapping Control
- Transportation
- Water and Wastewater pipeline and plant survey
Education/Certification and Experience:
- Registered as a Professional Land Surveyor in Texas required.
- TxDOT recertifications in all survey categories’ is a must.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience.
- 5 Years experience in MicroStation, GIS, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Geopak and/or ArcGIS
- Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering, and construction industry
- Ability to meet project deadlines within given budget limits
- Desire to succeed and excel in a fast-paced work environment
- Experience with City of Dallas vault , Dallas County, and other Metroplex County records.
- Experience in the use of state-of-the-art laser scanning and GPS equipment, as well as traditional survey equipment.
- Experience with new survey technology, so that we can continue to innovate solutions for survey projects.
