Land Surveying Project Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Research historical maps, land records, previous survey results and land title information as needed to compare and verify measurements and boundary lines
- Create reports and maps according to customer or project requirements containing information from field measurements, boundary markers, and topographic features
- Prepare three-dimensional computer renderings of property features
- Communicate with field crew, data techs, drafters, and clients as needed
- Assist with development of project scope, deliverables, schedules, proposals, and job estimates
- Closely monitor project progress and make adjustments to ensure projects will meet deadlines and budgetary criteria
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in surveying, Civil Engineering, or Similar degree type
- Professional Land Surveying License in Texas
- Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of mapping concepts, and land development
- Must be self-motivated with good time management and the ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with computer drafting programs.
- Knowledge of land development and/or civil services
- Strong familiarity with project management methods and strategies
- Abundant knowledge of state land surveying requirements, and the laws surrounding
Preferred:
- Proficient with the latest versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficient with Trimble Business Center
- Leica field experience
