We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in this lively children's clinic!
TAPAC's goal is to provide quality and caring service to all our patients from new parents caring for their first child to adolescents stepping out into the world to go to college. And that care starts with our exceptional staff!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create a customer-friendly environment
- Act as telephone triage nurse, handling phone calls, answering questions, and relaying messages to or from the physicians. Schedule same-day appointments as required. Complete refill requests.
- Teach the use of equipment, i.e. nebulizers
- Administer injections, immunizations, and treatments as needed
- Obtain blood samples by finger stick
- Escort patients to room; prepare patients for examinations; record height, weight, vital signs, and history of complaint.
- Update and verify clinical records in patient charts
- Clean and restock rooms including end of day cleaning
- Assist as needed with securing referrals and making specialist or test appointments
- Assist medical assistant and front office as necessary
- Fill out, in a timely fashion, all patient forms for physicians’ signatures (i.e. immunizations, camp physical forms, school forms)
This job requires working some Saturdays (8am - 12pm) on a rotation. We are closed all major Holidays and Sundays.
