Registered Nurse – Wound Care - Enterostomal Therapist

Our Registered Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care, in the most compassionate way. As a Medical-Surgical nurse in our Wound Care unit you can expect to provide healing to a variety of diagnoses from complex soft tissue wound or a vasculitis ulcers with an emphasis on medical/surgical population. The diversity of Med/Surg and Wound Care will provide constant learning and the ability to approach each patient with confidence.
Applying the standards set forth for nursing practice by the American Nurses Association (ANA), the RN will organize, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care for unit patients.
• Plan, implement, revise and delegate nursing care
• Perform necessary technical skills as delineated through education, expertise, and unit requirements
• Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice

What you need to be successful:
• Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
• Successful completion of WOCN program preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• National Specialty Certification Preferred
• 2 years certified ostomy/wound care nurse preferred
