About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 3pm
- Patient Population: Pre-K & Kindergarten
The School Nurse (RN) will:
- Treat students and staff. as needed
- Consult with Teachers, School Administrators and other school staff regarding student care
- Administer medication
- Monitor student immunization records
- Educate students and staff on health procedures
- Help students who have feeding disabilities
- Bump, bruises, scratches, headaches, etc.
- Temperature screenings for students upon arrival
- Assist students with potential COVID symptoms in isolation room and ensure all proper protocol is followed.
- Ensure proper follow up with students who are quarantined
- Perform other duties, as needed
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NJS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS/CPR certification
- Knowledge of many areas of Healthcare areas, including Mental Health
- Knowledge of State Health regulations
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
