Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 (Depending on Experience)

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members. The RN is responsible to the Clinical Manager for the Pediatric Allergy Department.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure in good standing in New York.
- Evidence of 3 years of nursing experience preferred.
- BLS certification preferred and experience in Peds Allergy preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides general care to patients. Administers prescribed testing, medications and treatments.
- Maintains immunotherapy room with necessary supplies and materials.
- Ensures cleanliness.
- Observes, records and reports patients’ vitals and reactions to treatments.
- Assesses patient needs and suggests solutions to patient care problems.
- Maintains accurate patient records.
- Assures patient stays for required observation time after injection(s).
- Reacts appropriately in patient reaction situations; informs physician and/or other clinical staff as necessary to mitigate adverse reactions.
- Learn and perform immunotherapy vial mixing procedures.
- Demonstrates clinical competence and sound knowledge base in provision of quality patient care.
- Serves as a role model and consultant to staff.
- Regularly interacts with physicians and other departments in order to identify and resolve problems.
- Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate articles, journals and related material; and by attending seminars and conferences, as needed.
- Responsible for reporting improperly operating medical equipment and instruments to supervisor.
- Responsible for following OSHA regulations.
- Maintains patient, employee and clinic confidentiality.
