RN 1:1 Home Care

Duties will include the following:

  • Implement plan of care and treatment using sound judgment and critical thinkingProvide accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the nursing process.
  • Prepare, administer, and appropriately document actions taken specific to the commonly prescribed oral, topical, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications. Observe, reports, and record adverse reactions to medications and/or treatment to the Registered Nurse.
  • Perform wound care and recognize the need for and institute emergency measures in a rapid and appropriate manner.
  • Perform all skills, treatments, and procedures to the scope of practice as defined in the Nurse Practice Act in the state of clinical practice and adheres to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency.
  • Treat patients, family, and staff with courtesy and respect

We ensure our RN's have the skills they need to be successful in caring for our clients through competency demonstration in our on-site simulation lab. We also offer client-specific skill enhancement opportunities in the home when indicated. Necessary personal protective equipment is provided so that you can feel confident and safe when you care for your clients.

Requirements:

  • Current, valid state MA RN license in good standing
  • Ability to obtain BLS CPR certification.
  • Recent wellness exam and negative TB skin test (provided if needed)
  • Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is required.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive fingerprint/background check and drug screening.
  • Ensures confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
