Registered Nurse Cardiac

A registered professional nurse is responsible for patient care in accordance with current standards of practice as outlined in the Massachusetts Nursing Practice Act as well as applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations and established policies and procedures to assure that the highest degree of quality care and safety can be maintained.
The purpose of your job is to:
• Providing comprehensive skills specific to Cardiac Nursing
• The RN works directly with the physicians, radiology technicians, cardiology staff and scheduling to coordinate testing for the patients.
• Performed required tasks with advanced skill and in-depth knowledge of current evidenced based practices related to cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology to both inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Understands co-morbid conditions, diagnostic procedures, treatment regime and has advanced working knowledge of normal and abnormal responses in the setting of exercise stress testing.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusett
• Current BLS and ACLS
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS and PALS required within 6mo.
• Competent to assist with stress testing within 1 year of employment.
PREFERRED
• Radiology Nursing Certification
• Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist, American College of Sports Medicine within one year of employment.
EXPERIENCE:
• At least 5 years current broad based nursing experience
o Radiology Nursing, ER/ICU/Cardiac/Critical Care experience strongly preferred.
• Three years ICU experience preferred.
• Experience and proficiency in multiple EPIC systems, including Ambulatory, Cadence, Cupid
• Recent experience with Coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA)
