Job Description:
As an Event Venue Server/Waiter at Ceresville Mansion, you will play a crucial role in crafting memorable experiences for our clients and their guests. Your primary responsibilities will involve providing attentive and courteous service during events, ensuring guests' needs are met, and maintaining a pristine and organized event space. This position primarily involves on-site work at our Frederick facility, with occasional opportunities for off-site catering events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exceptional Service: Deliver outstanding customer service by promptly attending to guest needs, serving, and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
- Food and Beverage: Assist with food and beverage service, including setup, replenishment, and table clearing. Ensure all food and beverages are served in accordance with our high standards.
- Table Settings: Prepare tables, arrange chairs, and decorate as per event requirements, ensuring a visually appealing and organized venue.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the catering team, event coordinator, and colleagues to ensure smooth event execution.
- Cleanliness: Keep your work area clean and organized, including dining tables, serving stations, and back-of-house areas. Assist with post-event cleanup and breakdown.
- Guest Interaction: Interact with guests professionally and courteously, addressing special requests or dietary restrictions as needed.
- Problem-Solving: Address guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from the event coordinator or management when required.
- Team Player: Collaborate seamlessly with fellow servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure the overall success of the event.
- Flexibility: Be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in catering or event venues preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry trays and equipment as needed.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- TIPS or ServSafe certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
