The Per Diem Home Infusion Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe administration of parenteral products along with professional nursing care for patients in their home.

Responsibilities:

• Administer Infusion Therapy treatments to patients.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and notifies the supervising clinician of all abnormal findings.
• Insert and manage IV lines for Infusion Therapy.
• Monitor patients during Infusion Therapy to ensure safety and effectiveness of treatment.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding Infusion Therapy procedures and self-care at home.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documentation of treatments, medications, and patient responses.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a certification in Infusion Therapy preferred.
• Currently licensed to practice as an RN in the State of Connecticut.
• Proficiency in IV insertion, management, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and infection control practices.
• Strong assessment skills to monitor patient response to Infusion Therapy treatments.
