Department Description
The level of skill of staff members require the ability to perform complex neuro assessments, astute observations and compassionate caring for patients.
The unit has 24 beds with cardiac telemetry and intracranial pressure monitoring capability.
Required Qualifications
- PDRN minimum 1-year clinical experience.
- 2-years’ experience as a Registered Nurse and at minimum 1-year of step-down, progressive care transitional care or higher level of care experience
- Telemetry/cardiac monitoring proficiency
- The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Neurology/Neurovascular/Neurosurgery patients
- NIHSS Certification
License/Certification
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
