Registered Nurse - Outpatient Services Center

The Orenda Center of Wellness is an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility located in the downtown area of Frederick, Maryland. We are a fun energetic company doing our part in the battle against addiction and mental health stigma, by offering the highest standard of individualized treatment in a loving and therapeutic environment. In addition to substance abuse treatment, we also offer co-occurring mental health services by licensed clinical therapist at all of our facilities. We are working towards improving access to healthcare services, while serving the ever-growing population of individuals suffering from the afflictions of substance use disorders. As a result, we a looking for an organized, patient, and caring Registered Nurse with the passion to serve the underserved to join our multi-disciplinary team.

The RN position entails:

- Report directly and work under current Nursing Director & Nursing Dept Liaison 

- Hours: 10a to 4p 2 to 3 days a week Mon thru Thursday basis @ Outpatient / Friday from 7a to 5p @ Men's Inpatient Facility

- Nursing assessments and physicals for all transitional living clientele

- Administering / managing medication as prescribed including IM injections

- Accurate accounting of inhouse med logs and client records 

- Assessing and treating clients who are ill either from withdraws and/or unrelated illness

- Monitoring vital signs and assessing emergency medical needs while on site

- Documentation in EMR

- Collecting and sending blood and/or urine samples as needed

Requirements:

- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Maryland

- Compassionate and caring attitude towards all patients and support staff

- Preferred experience working with Behavioral Health & Substance Use Disorder

- Preferred experience performing laboratory blood draws, swabs, and phlebotomy services

Position Offering:

• competitive pay rates range $34 to $45
• $5,000 sign on bonus available*

  • 2 to 3 / 6-hour workday and 1–10-hour workday
