This structured clinical ladder offers a solid groundwork in essential nursing practices, followed by the advancement of skills and responsibilities in caring for more complex patients.
In this dual role, you will commence your orientation in one of our medical-surgical units. Our comprehensive orientation program is designed to ensure your success. After six months, you will begin the transition to a higher acuity/specialized unit. Once fully trained, you will have the opportunity to divide your time between two units, providing care to both medical-surgical and higher acuity patients. Salary:
- Starting pay is $35.50 and increases based on experience.
Job Qualifications:
- Current Nebraska Registered Nurse (RN) License, a valid compact multistate license, or a temporary permit while awaiting licensure.
- Possession of current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is strongly preferred at the time of hire and required within 3 months of hire.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) from an accredited college of nursing is required. Alternatively, nurses with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) must obtain a BSN or MSN within 5 years from the date of hire.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred for all applicants.
- For NMH Ortho Neuro: Completion of National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification training is required by the completion of orientation.
