As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.
Job Overview:
Day to day, you would be responsible for providing care to patients. Our nursing staff demonstrates their knowledge, critical thinking, and judgment. Services provided by the RN include; supervising care delivered, coordinates plan of care, and provides education for patients/families.This 32 bed specialty unit (19 ICU/ 13 Step down) that provides care for ICU/Stepdown level neuroscience and medical patients. The patient population on the Neuro ICU/Stepdown unit includes cranial surgery, neuro-endovascular procedures, neuro-medical conditions, such as stroke, as well as medical conditions requiring intensive care. Deaconess Gateway Hospital has been designated as a certified Primary Stroke Center by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP). Our staff is very knowledgeable about quality standards of care, which we meet and exceed at our facility. Nurses working on this unit receive training in ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
Required: Certifications/Licenses in IN or compact licensure states:
