What will I be doing?
- Communicate with patients, colleagues, and other individuals (e.g. pharmacists, schools) to answer questions, disseminate or explain appropriate medication information, and address patient medication needs/concerns.
- Serve as the medical support liaison between practitioner and other professionals and agencies as related to the patient.
- Assist practitioner in submitting Prior Authorization (PA) requests for medications.
- Assist practitioner in calling in prescriptions/refills to Pharmacy and checking on lab orders.
- If on site, assist practitioner with taking vitals, completing notes, submitting PAs.
- Maintain, and supervise maintenance of, accurate records in EMR of assistance provided in regard to patient/medication issues.
- Ensure compliance with all state regulatory bodies, including re-licensure/re-certification of NPs.
- Monitor medications and provide ongoing support and education regarding medications
- Monitor vital signs/Nursing assessment and other duties as assigned by practicing physician/psychiatrist/practitioner
- Completes daily progress notes.
Qualifications:
Must hold a current RN license.
