Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. As an ER Nurse, you will provide direct and specialized nursing care to patients in emergency situations. Your expertise and quick thinking will be crucial in assessing patients, administering treatments, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Duties:
- Assess patients' conditions and prioritize care based on the severity of their condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor vital signs and provide ongoing patient assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to aid in patient diagnosis
- Assist with emergency procedures such as intubation, defibrillation, and CPR
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the state of MA
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room setting
- Proficiency in providing care for patients across the lifespan, including children and infants
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience with specimen collection processing and catheterization
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and documentation
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
