Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse Educator, is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating an organized program for staff education directed toward the achievement of professional excellence. The Registered Nurse Educator will serve as the primary contact person for nursing, professional, and support services staff education and will create professional education resources and instructional leadership for outreach programs directed to health care professionals.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides leadership for the assessment of learning/resource needs and the subsequent establishment of goal for all staff.
- Collaborates with department managers and resource staff using indicators such as new policy development, new technology, and quality assurance monitors to prioritize staff development needs.
- Establishes and maintains a resource pool of health professionals, current health care information, and media and material resources to assist and support staff education and professional outreach.
- Monitors staff education and professional outreach program offerings. Recommends direction and program focus.
- Functions as a liaison with community health professionals to promote professional/education programs and services.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interpret medical data essential.
- Ability to function independently, attend to detail, work under pressure, and prioritize multiple projects.
- Strong public relations abilities; professional attitude, and motivation essential.
Education and Experience:
- Registered Nurse required with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience with Relias Learning and PointClickCare preferred.

Pay: $85,000.00 per year
