Nurse Position Available at VA Medical Center
- Basic Requirements:
- United States Citizenship
- English Language Proficiency
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by accrediting bodies
- Current registration as a professional nurse
Preferred Experience: 2 Years of critical care experience, leadership, and Nursing Supervisor experience
Grade Determinations:
- Nurse I Level I - Associate Degree in Nursing
- Nurse I Level II - ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of experience
- Nurse I Level III - ADN in Nursing and 2-3 years of experience
- Nurse II - BSN with 2-3 years of experience
- Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing with 2-3 years of experience
Note: BSN not required if MSN obtained through a Bridge Program
Physical Requirements:
- Population served ranges from adult to elderly
- Interdisciplinary teaching facility
- Requires visual acuity, manual dexterity, and potentially long periods of physical activity
Duties:
Responsible for nursing process, patient care coordination, and customer service
Administers medications, collaborates with the team, and participates in quality improvement
Communicates effectively and prioritizes veteran care
