Requirements:
- Valid California nurse license.
- Minimum of 12 months of RN experience.
- Passion for serving the underserved population.
Responsibilities:
As an integral member of our interdisciplinary team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care and promoting the well-being of patients within the corrections facility.
Key responsibilities include:
Nursing Care Provision:
- Implementing comprehensive nursing care plans, including the administration of medication, therapeutic agents, treatments, and disease prevention measures.
- Following physician orders and obtaining specimens for diagnostic testing.
- Assisting physicians with medical or minor surgical procedures.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Collaborative Treatment Efforts:
- Participating actively in the development of multidisciplinary treatment plans.
- Contributing valuable insights as a nursing professional to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Patient Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conducting ongoing patient assessments and providing appropriate therapeutic interventions based on their physical and psychological status.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of patient treatment regimens, documenting progress, and adjusting care plans as necessary.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Recording all nursing activities meticulously in medical records, including initial nursing assessments, treatment interventions, and patient education provided.
Schedule:
- This is a full-time position offering a 40-hour work week, distributed across 5 days.
- Schedule: 2pm-10:30pm Wednesday-Sunday
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay rate: $75/hr ($10/hr of this total paid in stipend).
- Weekly pay cycle.
